Hi Qorvo Team,
Please suggest PA for my use case with below conditions,
Frequency band : 400 to 470MHZ
Input power : +12 to +13 dBm
Current design Output power with TQP7M9106 PA : + 30 to +31dBm
Our expected output power with above input condition : +33dBm
Your recommendation will be helpful for our design.
On the output power you measure with the TQP7M9106, is +30 to +31dBm the P1dB or Psat?
Have you tried tuning the PA output to try to improve the output power?
The TQP7M9106 may be slightly short of gain, you may need slightly higher input power.
As an alternative you could look at the QPA9510 2W PA, this has higher gain at close to 40dB. Can you drop the input power to the PA in your application?
Hi Chris,
Yes, We have tried best tuning of the PA output path to get +30 to +31dBm output with TQP7M9106 (Same we have confirmed with Qorvo team as best gain with 18dB avg on this band) ,
Our input max power was +13 dBm only,
We can’t increase our input power to PA more than +13dBm.
Can you confirm "QPA9510 " was suitable for my RF requirement ? If so could you please share matching circuit for the BAND of 400 - 470MHZ ? (As datasheet mentions only about 900MHZ Band)
Also max Pin mentioned as +13dBm only for QPA9510, is that will match our requirement ?

You would need to drop the power to the QPA9510 input. Maybe add an attenuator before the QPA9510 input if you can not reduce the power level from your transceiver or driver stage below +13dBm.
Oh Ok,
Sure I can reduce my input power to -11dBm level from +13dBm in steps.
(I just mentions max power was +13dBm)
So I can control this PA whenever my RF transmit through VAPC pin ?
That is correct. Vapc can be used for power control and turning PA on/off.
Thanks Chris for the suggestions & support.
