BV source power measurement

Hello,

I have discovered that power measurement (CTRL + click) does not work for Behavioral Voltage Source. At the same time, for instance, there is no such problem with a regular Voltage Source and Voltage Dependent Voltage Source; power measurement works fine for them. I am attaching two screenshots illustrating the problem.

I would be grateful if power measurement could also be added for BV sources, if possible.

I also found a topic with a similar question, but it does not provide a clear solution. Therefore, I decided to create another one to show that users need this feature. I hope that will increase the likelihood of it being included in future versions of QSPICE.

In addition, I would like to express my respect to all QSPICE developers. The program is simply excellent. I especially like the support for C++ - based blocks, which can implement complex control logic that is often virtually impossible to implement with other standard SPICE tools.

Is this just a coincidence, or did you send your request to Mike and receive this response?
This feature has been added in today’s update. Today’s update includes the behavioral power source and power monitoring of it actually come with that.
10/03/2025 Added power dissipation monitoring for arbitrary sources.

Qspice with only one developer - Mike Engelhardt. :joy:

Wow, that’s indeed a strange coincidence! And no, I didn’t send any request to Mike. The only thing I did was create this topic here.

In any case, my problem is now solved. Many thanks to Mike for that!
