Some time when I run simulation the Waveform Viewer closes without any notice. Any ideas what am i doing wrong?
If this issue can be replicated with a specific schematic, you may want to consider emailing (the email address can be found in Qspice > Help > About) that example and explaining it to Mike as a bug report.
I have encountered waveform viewer crashes or hangs and have reported multiple cases to Mike. However, these issues are typically related to having a .plot command with an expression that does not correspond to any data in the .qraw file. (e.g., attempting to plot V(A) when my data file does not contain V(A)). I can rarely recall a situation where I managed to crash the waveform viewer if that voltage/current is present in the .qraw file.
@uzbek40 ,
I’ve had it happen also. However, it appears running the sim a 2nd or 3rd time yielded a plot in the waveform viewer.
Strangely, in my case, the plot arguments were valid when it occurred.
It hasn’t happened in a while since I updated QSpice’s QPOST.exe.
If it happens again, I will forward the schematic to Mike.

@uzbek40 ,
Check out the latest QSpice.
This is what is listed as a “fix”: “12/29/2025 Trapped a crash mode in the waveform viewer.”

I observed a .plot condition that can crash waveform viewer and reported last night, which is why the fix came up. But without @uzbek40 explains what he observed, the opportunity that I observed the condition he experienced is low.
