Using the DWM3001CDK with QorvoUwbExplorer software

Hi,

I’m new to Qorvo and UWB, and following instructions in the DWM3001CDK quick start (vAug2025, release QM32SDK-1.1.1) and Developer’s Guide (same version, ch. 8), I’m not having any success in connecting to our board with the software as per the instructions - the serial port is working, and we are using the correct USB port (we can use the CLI fine, with that version of the firmware flashed) but when we flash the UCI version and plug our board in and run the UWB Explorer software, it never detects our boards.

I note that there is a discrepancy between the screenshots in the developer kit and the quickstart guide (the dev kit seems to show an earlier version, yet shows version 2.1.0 as the version of the software, the quickstart shows version 1.0.0 in the screenshot, and this matches the version we were able to install on our mac).

Any thoughts or tips about using this software with our dev kit? I’d like to take advantage of some of the GUI functionality to quickly test the capabilities before investing time in writing new firmware for interfacing the module to our robotics application.

Hi @mgg, which OS are you using? If Windows, can you share a screenshot of the device manager?

Ah I just discovered there was a switch from “Qorvo TWR One” to “Qorvo Explorer” at some point, which may explain the version numbering. But still no clue why it’s not detecting our board.

I can attempt to find info about the port and hardware config, but unfortunately it will need to wait a couple of days until I have my devices with me again.
