Transmission collision

When a collision occurs on the communication channel, does DW1000 provide a notification or interrupt?

Hi @Vanperdung
as far I know there is no such function. During receiving it can report few error but non of them really means a collision repots.

Typically the receiver hookup on a transmitter frequency (there are minor differences because of Xtal instability) and that makes it a bit less vulnerable to collision.

Hi @leapslabs, Thank for your response. I have some questions regarding the sign-up process on the anchor. According to the DWM1001 documentation, a new anchor will send a Join Request message to an existing anchor in the network at SVC, but the super-frame only has 2 SVC slots, so collisions can easily occur. Is there any mechanism in place to prevent collisions in this scenario?

Hi @Vanperdung ,
you are mixing few things together. Originally you have asked for DW1000 (plain radio) collision and now you are asking for DWM1001 with PANS firmware - that is something completely different.

Regarding your question: There is no special mechanism - there is some randomized startup delay to avoid having 30 anchors trying to sign up at the same time. And once the anchor didn’t receive response it tries again until it passes. Based on our testing one anchor will always pass trough even when multiple anchors tries to sign up. This works very well.
