TQL9092_S parameter file_S11, S22

Hi,

  1. The S parameter files given for TQL9092 isn’t depicting the values of S11 and S22 as given in the data sheet. The S parameter file column 2 and 8 have values for S11magnitude and S22magnitude close to 0 but not negative as in the datasheet.

Could you please check the S parameter files uploaded and provide the correct files?

  1. What is the difference between the 2 S parameter files provided - TQL9092_deembedded_Sparam_with_NoiseParam.s2p and TQL9092_de-embedded_sparameters_3p3Vdd.s2p ?
  1. The s-parameters are actually the same, but expressed in different units: the datasheet uses dB whereas the s2p file uses MA. If you import the s2p file into a tool such as MatchCalc and export in dB format, you will see the same values as in the datasheet.
  2. Different bias points. The first file is for Vdd = 5V, Idd = 65mA, the second file is for Vdd = 3.3V, Idd = 70mA
  1. The discrepancy is because the s-pars are in different formats. The s2p files on the web are format M indicating magnitude/angle, and the s-pars listed in the datasheet are decibel/angle. When I plot the s-par file in ADS it matches the values in the datasheet. I also did a conversion from ADS and exported into dB format, see attached. This aligns with the datasheet.

  2. The file with noise parameters embedded is at 5V bias, the other is at 3V3.

Qorvo Qspice is capable of opening .s2p files and plotting their results with different axis settings (polar in dB, non-dB, Cartesian R+jX, or Smith chart for S11/S22).
