I am testing the radar function with QM35825DK-05 kits and the QM35 SDK. I am using the cherry-api for raspberry pi board and using the UWB Qorvo Tools for the PC interface board.
I can see the timestamp for the each incoming radar frame. I wish these two boards to work concurrently, through different preamble codes.
However, since each board has its own independent clock source, it is not easy to align two CIR streams. I am wondering if there is any method to synchronize the time on each board with a common clock source?
Happy New Year to you as well and thank you for your question!
Currently, our product does not support synchronization between two boards using different preamble codes.
When different preamble codes are used, the devices cannot detect each other, so aligning CIR streams would require a dedicated synchronization mechanism.
We have some ideas for implementing this in the future releases, but it is not available yet.
To help us better understand your needs, could you please share the level of timing precision you would require for aligning the CIR streams (e.g., nanoseconds, microseconds)?
This information will be very helpful for us to evaluate your use case and prioritize improvements in upcoming releases.
