Hi, I’d like to have an equation for output frequency to play with values in the software. Cannot understand how the Frac value is computed.
The software does a fine job, but to my understanding the moment I change the reference clock from 26MHz (I intend to work with 96MHz) it will stop computing the values correctly. I don’t see any way of refclk frequency input in the software.
To use 96MHz you’d need to make sure the reference divider is set to 2. The maximum frequency at the phase/freq detector is 52MHz.
To change the reference frequency there is a drop down menu [Configuration][Reference Properties] which opens a window where you can enter the reference frequency. You can change the reference divider value in the ‘Dashboard’ tab.
Then the GUI should calculate all the correct values with 96MHz reference, and 96/2 = 48MHz at the phase/freq detector.
