“Hello, we are currently using your company’s RF2314 model product. We have two batches of chips from different production years (2015 and 2016), but the surface markings are significantly different — one is marked ‘14’ and the other ‘14PE’. Could you please help confirm whether this difference in markings is normal, and whether there are any technical or version differences that we need to be aware of?”
The latest branding diagram shows code ‘14YW’ where 14 is the part number ID for RF2314, Y indicates production year, and W the week.
The parts branded ‘14PE’ would be RF2314 devices from year 2016 and week 9/10.
The DC15+ parts don’t align with the expected branding for some reason.
Do you have the full date code and any other paperwork or trace codes for the DC15+ parts with the different branding? If so we can check this against our internal databases. Where did you purchase the devices? Was it from an authorized Qorvo distributor?
Thanks so much, Chris.
They parts we got from a broker, we have already returned back to them. Thanks for your help.
OK, thanks for the feedback.
