QSPICE Schematic Capture “MC Filter PB Gauss”

For this week’s QSPICE schematic capture, we have “MC Filter PB Gauss” by our friend and frequent schematic capture contributor Alexander Bordodynov.

This QSPICE schematic models an active band-pass filter and performs a Monte Carlo tolerance analysis using Gaussian-distributed component variations. By varying resistor and capacitor values across multiple simulation runs, the circuit shows how real-world component tolerances shift the filter’s peak gain and center frequency.

Why simulate it in QSPICE? QSPICE makes statistical analysis fast and practical, allowing engineers to visualize worst-case behavior, sensitivity, and production spread in seconds. That means better component selection, tighter design margins, and greater confidence that the hardware will perform as intended across manufacturing variations.
