This week’s QSPICE Schematic Capture comes from our friend Professor Marcos Alonso, who continues to produce outstanding educational resources for the engineering community, check out his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@MarcosAlonsoElectronics
This week’s QSPICE example explores a three-phase induction motor driven from a 460 V, 60 Hz source while operating under a constant mechanical load. You can find this here: marcosalonsoelectronics (Marcos Alonso) · GitHub
The simulation lets you observe:
- Three-phase stator voltages
- Rotor flux evolution
- Electromagnetic torque during startup
- Motor speed accelerating to steady state
Professor Alonso has recently published a new book, Modelling, Control, and Simulation of DC-DC Converters, [available here.] (Modelling, Control, and Simulation of DC-DC Converters: Alonso, J. Marcos: 9798241156785: Amazon.com: Books) If you’re looking to deepen your knowledge of circuit simulation and mixed-signal design, it’s well worth checking out.
Have a schematic you’d like to share? We’d love to feature it in a future post. Please send any submissions to tim.mccune@qorvo.com. (Schematic Capture Post #100)
