For this week’s QSPICE schematic capture, we have “Dimmer” by our friend Alexander Bordodynov. “Testing the transistor model, which I have refined compared to the factory one. I added a gate leakage diode according to the measured value for one transistor. These are ST Microelectronics products. The same company made a spice model for inclusion in the standard triac phase control circuit. In other cases, the model does not give the correct result. For example, in relaxation oscillators. I made a model based on the physical effects of avalanche breakdown of bipolar transistors. The DB3 is a symmetrical bipolar transistor.” (Schematic Capture Post #044) Please send any submissions to me at tim.mccune@qorvo.com. Dimmer.qsch (9.6 KB)
TR requires a library “MAC228A10FP.lib” to run in the above schematic. Here is a standalone version with all subcircuit devices embedded. Dimmer (embedded symbol).qsch (11.9 KB)
I think you should make a INDEX page where u link all your posts since with time they will be berried in the forum also a lot of them should be included as a another example folder.
You can utilize the embedded schematic or this MAC228A10FP.lib instead of the library in @mccunets post. I am unsure why the library in the initial message is different from the one that is actually functional.
@bordodynov, any comments on this? You have two MAC228A10FP.lib files? It appears that the one in @mccunets’s post is different from the actual library (attached below) that works for your schematic.
