For this week’s QSPICE schematic capture, we have “74HCosc” by our friend and frequent schematic capture contributor Alexander Bordodynov. He noted there are some active discussions in various forums on these parts. The 74HC04 and 74HC14 are high-speed CMOS hex inverters with six independent gates in a 14-pin package. The 74HC04 is a standard inverter, while the 74HC14 features Schmitt-trigger inputs for improved noise immunity and squaring up slow signals. Both are interchangeable in pinout (LS04/LS14).
