Qspice revision window is showing revision date of Oct 13 2025 all of the sudden

Hello:
When I started Qspice this morning, the revision screen was showing Oct 13, 2025:
I forced an update and the revision screen then showed June 6, 2026. I closed the program and came back after lunch and it is showing an Oct 13, 2025 revision date once again. What is going on?

@jklaus14450,

Do you have more than one installation? (As Admin and as User?)

I had done that accidentally. Subsequently, updates didn’t go to the correct place.

One way to check for the dual install is to check for the presence of the installation folders.

As Admin => "C:\Program Files\QSPICE"
As User => "C:\Users\[username]\QSpice" (with [username] specific to you.)

If you have BOTH installs, the best way is to manually uninstall QSpice. Note: This will remove ONLY one the installations.

Next, manually delete the other installation QSpice folder.

Lastly, reinstall QSpice.

Sadly, QSpice asks on each update whether you want to install as “User” or “Admin”. It appears not to bother to check which installation type already exists or warn you about the “other” installation.
