Positioning Algorithm

Hi guys;

I am using MDEK1001 modules for outdoor positioning system. As far as I have known, there is statistical and geometric based approches to estimate the position of the tag. Anyone know which method is implemented on this module for estimation and is it possible to disable the location engine and apply new algorithm? And which algorithm can be more practical in outdoor scenarios?

The MDEK system using two way ranging to measure distance between at least 3 anchors and tags. Then it performs trilateration algorithm to get a position estimate.

If you want to use a custom algorithm, you can post process the ranges provided by the tags.
