I’d like to connect external antennas to the node, in an attempt to get better ranging from it, specifically when the tag is ‘behind’ the node. do you have antennas for purchase?

Sorry,I have to say we really do not have external antenna for customer.
regarding the external antenna, two thing i would like to suggested:
1, please keep sure the RF trace symetry ,equal length, espacially when PA is involved
2, Whip antenna is not suggested, indeed i think PCB or FPC type antenna maybe better for your situation.
