Not sure about configuration and red lights on the board

I have 2 DWM3001CDK boards. I’ve downloaded J-Flash Lite, connected both boards to PC via micro-USB (on J9 connector), selected NRF52833_xxAA device, selected UCI Firmware and programmed my devices. JFlash said it was successful. I unplugged and plugged devices again (as guide mentioned - “disconnect and reconnect to reset the board”). I plugged them into J20 connector and one of the devices started to flash red green and blue lights and the seconds white keeps blinking red. GUI only sees one device (this one with multiple colors). My thought was that microUSB cable is broken. When i switched cables between devices behavior also switched (one with RGB colors and one keeps blinking red) so i assume both boards works OK and the cable is broken. But i tried with almost 10 different cables and the issue persists.
So my question - did i miss something? Is it desired behavior? Why i see only 1 board in GUI (i cannot calibrate without second board).
I tried to configure it also on macOS but the issue is the same. Can you give me some clues or anything?

Hello, could you try the following:

  • plug your 2 devices, check one is OK, and one KO
  • unplug the OK one and check what happen on the KO one
  • If the KO one is still KO, try unplug/plug again it to the computer
  • According to your post, it should become OK.
  • If it became OK, try to connect the First OK, according to your description, it should be KO this time.

Do you see something on the device manager ? Kernel messages ? Issue in USB enumeration ? I would suspect a USB power supply issue. Can you check with another USB port ? Unplug all other USB devices/Hub before trying again ? Try another computer if possible ?

Thank you for answering @simon.desfarges
I fixed this issue. It was the USB cable that was apparently too weak to handle this board. I got a better cable and now everything works fine. I’ve configured and calibrated my boards successfully.

Now I have another issue. I’ve installed both Qorvo apps from AppStore and they don’t see my boards. App is frozen on „scanning” state. I’ve not done anything with my boards. Should I do something, program them somehow in order to see them in Qorvo app? I also downloaded source code for those apps, compiled them in Xcode and still nothing. Could you give me any hints? I don’t know if I should program them or after calibration they should work straight ahead. Any info would be highly appreciated.
Thank you
