Hello everyone,
My question relates to the power loss calculation of components. This is implemented for various components in QSPICE. If you look here in the forum or look at the very good documentation from @KSKelvin (GitHub - KSKelvin-Github/Qspice: Qspice technique, symbols and examples), it says that this function calculates the real power, but ignores the displacement currents. For me, however, the question now is how the real power loss is actually calculated in the background. In other words, what maths is used there. I would be particularly interested in this for a simple diode, as different models with different levels of detail are possible in QSPICE. Can anyone give me more detailed information on this question?
I would be very happy to receive an answer.
Best regards
