It’s just a personal thing, but I find the default font size a bit on the large side. It would be nice if the user could specify a default font size to be used when placing elements in the schematic, instead of having to resize the text after placing the item.

Here’s a possible solution already available:
The default font size is 1.00.
When you type in some text, use the scroll wheel on your mouse to either zoom in (makes the font appear larger) or zoom out (makes the font appear smaller).

I already use that feature thanks. Any text automatically created, such as the reference designator, still has to be resized after placing the component.
