Hello,
is it possble to model a DC motor with QSpice to simulate it? So that I can then design the compensator and model its closed loop performance.

Thank you @lpoma for the lead.
I need to look into this first to learn how it works and see if I can create a compensator to stabilize it based on entered motor parameters. I am new to this so might take some time. ![]()
Much appreciated!
For Brushed DC electric motor modeling, two useful modeling resource are from PLECS and PSIM
DC Machine — PLECS 5.0 Documentation
Tutorial - Electric Machine Modeling.pdf — PSIM
This is a DC machine equivalent to PLECS implementation for your reference. (not implement Initial rotor position as I am not sure how to include that, but generally it is set to 0 so not that important).

Thank you @KSKelvin.
I will review the material. I am sure that I will have some questions in the near future.
Again, greatly appreaciated!
