Inquiry regarding Operating conditions and performance parameters of CMD192C5 at elevated temperatures

Dear Qorvo team,

In our current design, we are utilizing the CMD192C5 device and operating it at 230mA. According to the datasheet, the maximum current rating is specified as 260mA. We would like to understand the behaviour of the device when operated at 230mA or at the maximum rating of 260mA, particularly at an ambient temperature of +85°C.

Could you please clarify whether operating under these conditions will result in an increase in current or a decrease in gain? Additionally, are there any other parameters that could be adversely affected?

Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance.

The CMD192C5 datasheet gives 200mA typical current, and 260mA maximum in the spec table. This is the part-part variation. If you are biasing at 230mA you will likely get a slight uplift in IP3 compared to 200mA. The datasheet contains performance plots at 85C. Gain, P1dB and IP3 drop slightly at high temperature, which is the case for most amplifiers.
