Extract data from DWM1001 running PANS firmware

Hi,

I have been testing the PANS firmware with 4 DWM1001-DEV’s. I was wondering if I can extract the PANS location data using SPI connected to the Nordic 54l15? Does the firmware allow the data to be transmitted using SPI or UART or is it only able to send it via Bluetooth? Thank you so much!

Hi,

Yes, the PANS firmware provides the following interfaces: BLE/UART/SPI.

  • So you can use a host MCU for configuration and data gathering of the module.
  • There is also a picture that can help you to clarify that:
  • PANS PRO RTLS — LEAPS
  • This picture shows however PANS PRO, which is an industrial ready version that share most of the firmware with the PANS version.
  • The differences are primarily in the higher level, where there is a dedicated gateway instead of a Raspberry Pi + DWM1001-DEV device.
