I am currently working with the DWM3001CDK for an indoor localization project.
I was able to successfully run the device using CLI via USB connection (PuTTY), and I can see that the system works when connected to the laptop.
However, I am facing an issue:
When I disconnect the anchors from the laptop and power them only via USB (power supply), they stop working and no ranging is performed.
What I need:
I want to configure my setup as follows:
Anchors: fixed in room corners, powered only (no laptop connection)
Tag: connected to laptop for monitoring distances
My questions:
Is there a firmware that supports standalone operation for anchors (no CLI required)?
How can I properly flash or configure the anchors so they continue working after power-up?
Is there a TWR demo firmware (or example) that runs automatically without manual CLI commands?
Do I need to modify any configuration (e.g., roles, IDs, network settings) before disconnecting?
Current status:
Firmware loaded successfully
CLI commands work when connected
No response after disconnecting USB from laptop
I would really appreciate any guidance, firmware links, or step-by-step instructions.
Thank you very much.
Hi @Almabrouk,
If the CLI is able to do the job for you when connected to a PC, then you can use the setapp and save commands to have the device boot into a default mode/command when turning on.
If you need more capabilities than what is available with the CLI, then you will need to develop your own application.
You may also want to consider our QM33120WDK2 - Qorvo which has options for battery power and demos which can be configured through Bluetooth from a phone.
