Dw1000 CIR values explanation

Can someone explain to me why the CIR values in the ACCUM complex? and what’s the meaning of the real and imaginary parts? and why there are negative values in the output? And how to effectively plot the values?

Hi Janbek,

The CIR (Channel Impulse Response) is a complex number because it is mapped to the I (In-phase) / Q (quadrature) components obtained when demodulating into a baseband signal.

To plot the CIR, you shall calculate the Amplitude of this complexe number.

A = sqrt(I^2 + Q^2)
