Different between QM33120W and DW3000

Hi Qorvo team,

I’m working on a simple example of an initiator and responder, and I was reading the datasheet of the DW3000. Recently, I focused on the ID and I think my IC is the QM33120W instead of the DW3000 (My ID is 0xDECA0314).

I am having issues with my current code, so I would like to know what the differences are between the QM33120W and the DW3000. Are there any critical registers for the QM33120W? I have an issue with the register CHAN_CTRL (0x01:14): I cannot write to it and every time I read it, it shows 0.

Could you please give me some recommendations?

Best regards,
Tan

Hi @Tan_VS ,

Since QM33120W and DW3000 are different chipsets, there are some differences in register addresses. So, I would advise you to check the user manual of QM33120W and modify your code accordingly.

In terms of features, QM33120W has an alternative pulse shape to make the chip to be ARIB-T91 compliant compared to DW3000.

Kind regards,
Emre
