COM port cannot be detected

Hi everyone,

I am working with the DWM3001CDK, and I am not sure if I might have damaged it.

Issue:

The module used to function correctly, but one time when it was running the default INITF command, I accidentally powered it off directly. Since then, when I power it on again, it is not working properly.

  • Current Status: When plugged with J20, the D20 LED is flashing, while the others remain dark. And the windows computer cannot see the COM port from the device manager.
  • Troubleshooting Attempts:
    • I flashed the firmware from the SDK through the Jlink port and then powered it on again, but it still did not work.
    • I tested another identical chip under the exact same setup (cable, port, PC, etc.), and it worked perfectly.
    • When using the Jlink GUI to erase the malfunctioning chip, the process is unusually fast (0.01s).
    • I also tried erasing the chip using both the Jlink Command Line Tool and the nRF Command Line, but after re-flashing the firmware, the chip still does not work.

My Questions:

  1. Could this issue be caused by my operation? Is it possible that I broke the chip by powering it off during the INITF process?
  2. Are there any other methods or tools I could use to further debug and fix this issue?

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Shanmu
