CIR Initial Time

Hi,

Regarding the acquisition of the CIR, I understand that the fundamental time axis reference is 1/(2*499.2) MHz. However, I am consistently obtaining the main path around sample ~750. Why is this? Does it make physical sense? Is it solely due to processing time from preamble accumulation to CIR calculation? Should it change if I lose some preamble repetitions? After reading section 4.1 of the User Manual, I am inclined towards these latter options, but if someone could clarify, it would be greatly appreciated.
And if this is true, does the appearance of the CIR before or after (regarding the index within all samples) depend on the configuration (preamble, preamble length, PAC, …)?
