Bug report on character encoding

The online Qspice documentation has a problem with character encoding.

I am using a Danish Windows 11 PC

The Help as displayed is correct. QSpice uses some special characters for some device types. Here is a Gm block dragged dropped from the symbol browser with the same characters:

Doesn’t look like a QSPICE encoding bug tbh. the symbols are valid Unicode — you can tell because the Gm block renders fine inside QSPICE.

this is more likely Windows 11 + Danish locale + font fallback oddity in the help viewer. especially if the UTF-8 “beta” setting or a locale mismatch is enabled, Windows will swap fonts and mangle special device characters.

if it were a real QSPICE issue, you’d see the same corruption in the symbol browser, not just the documents.

Yes, you and Robert are both right. I was reporting something that is not a bug. It is how Qspice is meant to be. And I am just a newcomer to this great simulation program.
