Hello,

I would like to know which part of the antenna is considered the front when testing its output and accuracy. Should I position the tag and node as shown in Image 1 or Image 2? Please explain why one configuration is better than the other.

Additionally, I need help determining the X and Y coordinates of the tag. Also, if I cover the tag with a plastic box, will it affect performance(image 3)?

  • You should use the configuration in image 2. The green antenna is our mona lisa antenna and it is a directional antenna (for AoA) so the side that is visible in image 2 is the side where you should receive from.
  • Using the distance and angle, you should be able to calculate the X and Y position.
  • If you cover the tag with a plastic enclosure, RF performance should be minimally impacted.
