Advantages of the DWM3000 module

We are currently using the DWM1001C module in an athlete tracking system. We have challenges WRT tag blink range using the stock module antenna. I understand the DWM3000 module is pin and size compatible with the DWM1001. Would there be any range advantage to re-qualifying with the DWM3000 module?

DWM3000 is pin compatible with the DWM1000, both these modules are RF Only, they do not have a MCU inside. The DWM1001C has a different pinout and includes a MCU.
