Does anyone have a spice model for a 3 phase induction motor? If you have it, can you send it here?

Hi Asep,

First of all, apologies for the late reply.

Unfortunately we do not have spice models of induction motors as we do not design our motor controllers for induction motors. Our motor controllers are designed for brushless DC (BLDC) motors only.

You did not ask this specific question but … I will inquire whether we have BLDC motor spice models and let you know.

If you can’t find a ready-made SPICE model, sometimes using a simplified equivalent circuit model works well enough for testing the controller side first. A lot of induction motor simulations also behave differently depending on the simulator’s handling of coupled inductors, so checking compatibility with LTspice/QSPICE versions can save a lot of frustration.
