[VirtualBox] Problem with USB device controlling in VirtualBox - and solution

[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif]The user successfully imported the virtual machine image into VirtualBox. When he was trying to plug the J-LINK through USB, by doing menu bar --> Devices --> USB --> drop down list, he was able to see the “SEGGER J-Link” device. When the user tried to switch the control of the USB device from Windows to VirtualBox by click such device in the list, nothing happened. The user noticed that:[/font][/size][/color]

[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif] - In device manager, the device is recognized as “J-Link driver” by the Windows 7 system. Connecting through comXX is OK.[/font][/size][/color]
[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif]after clicking the device:[/font][/size][/color]
[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif] - There is no “[size=small][font=Arial, sans-serif]√[/font][/size]” in front of the device name. The VirtualBox didn’t find any new device.[/font][/size][/color]
[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif] - Windows 7 has labelled the device as VirtualBox USB.[/font][/size][/color]

[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif][color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif][color=#500050][color=#333333][size=small]- Open the Windows registry, by clicking on Start > Run and typing “regedit”[/size][/color]
[color=#333333][size=small]- Navigate to the following location [/size][/color][color=#333333][size=small]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}[/size][/color]
[/color][color=#333333][size=small]- In the right hand panel, if the the UpperFilters or [/size][/color][/font][/size][/color][color=#333333][size=small]LowerFilters[/size][/color][color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif][color=#333333][size=small] entry exists, then delete their values[/size][/color][/font][/size][/color]
[color=#222222][size=small][font=arial, sans-serif][color=#333333][font=Lucida Grande, Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]- Reboot machine[/font][/color][/font][/size][/color][/font][/size][/color]

This is a known problem of VirtualBox since 2011.
