Unable to see RPi desktop

I flashed the image on microSD card, inserted it into RPi and booted. I also configure WiFi on the card so after the boot I can see RPi with Advanced IP Scanner. The red light on RPi is on and the green LED is blinking…

And yet, despite that RPi connected to the monitor with HDMI cable the monitor shoes No Signal.
Question: is the Raspbian image provided on the website headless and have no A/V capabilities?

Hi securigy,

The desktop should work fine with the image we provided.

The hdmi should be plugged before the raspberry pi is power on (if hdmi is not detected at startup, I believe the rbpi does not start the desktop)

It works now - I connected it to one of my big display bypassing HDMI switch…
