Testing RF Output on the TGM2635-CP

I purchased a TGM2635-CP amp. I decided to do a continuity test on the pins on the input and output side with NO power supplied. I used a standard handheld multimeter to test it.

On the input side, the test results were as expected. The input RF pin was not connected to the ground pins, so it’s acting like an open circuit. However, when I tested the RF Output pin, it reported as a closed circuit with the ground pins. The power input pins also tested as a closed circuit to ground.

Is this correct? Should I get this?

I noticed from the data sheet that both RF Input and RF Output are DC Blocked. But the RF Output is also stated as a DC short. So does that mean that because I have no power and no RF signal, the amp will read as a closed circuit on the RF Output port?

Thanks.

Hello. The Drain to Ground resistance should be less than 1 Ohm, so that low resistance is expected. The Gate should be > 1M Ohm to Ground.
