QSPICE Schematic Capture “ClassD3"

Here’s this week’s schematic capture, by our own Mike Engelhardt. This schematic explores a differential Class-D output stage driving an 8Ω load through LC output filters, with Fourier analysis used to evaluate waveform purity and distortion performance.

Highlights:
• 2 MHz switching frequency
• LC reconstruction filtering
• Differential output topology
• Harmonic and THD analysis
• Efficient high-power audio amplification modeling

The simulation demonstrates how modern switching amplifiers can deliver clean sinusoidal output with extremely low distortion while maintaining high efficiency.

A great example of combining power electronics and signal integrity analysis in a single simulation environment.
