Hello, we are designing an UWB application using DW1000 and have the need to use both the QM14068 and QM14070. Since both ICs have an amplifying and bypass mode, could they be used together in series without the need for extra RF switches separating the RF paths?
Hi @jklapper ,
In addition to @MJT 's comment, please note that QM14068 and QM14070 only support channel 5 and channel 9. So, if you plan to use DW1000 with those components, you can only use channel 5 and you can’t use channels 1,2,3 and 4. You may use channel 7 but we also can’t guarantee the performance of those components over 1 GHz bandwidth.
Kind regards,
Emre
Thank you for the feedback! Yes, our application only requires channel 5 so that works out.
Hi @jklapper , if you are only looking at Ch5, can you help us understand why you are preferring DW1000 compared to DW3000 or QM33 devices?
For Ch5 operation, DW3000/QM33 should be an improvement over DW1000 in mostly all areas.
