File types that can be uploaded

Hi All, we had a QSPICE Forum management discussion this morning concerning files that can be uploaded. Please let me know of any types you can’t currently upload that you would like to upload. Best Regards, Tim

.sub
Reason: There are subcircuit libraries with the extension .sub instead of .lib or .txt.

How about *.zip and *.7z files? (Of course, you’d need to unpack and refuse any compressed file types not allowed individually.)

Thanks, will pass that on to our Forum folks

Thanks, I’ll add that to the list I’m requesting for uploads.

As for as i know, Currently, the forum accepts standard text-based files like .lib or .txt. For additional needs, including .sub for subcircuit libraries or compressed files like .zip and .7z, the forum team is reviewing requests. These types would need to be unpacked and checked before use, but adding them should cover most common QSPICE workflow requirements.

@mccunets,

How about sound file types such as .wav, .mp3, etc?

Even though QSpice may not use some of the file types directly, having them available for upload may be useful in conjunction with sound file converter apps that can convert to a type QSpice uses (such as .txt).

Compressed sound file types such as .mp3 also have the additional benefit of being compressed. This allows for smaller upload/download content.
