EVK1000 signal disturb

we observe in certain environment a total loss of the signals, what can disturb the signals?
can you increase the signal strength.

Let me explain:
I use channel 2,
currently the power is that of calibration: dwt_getotptxpower
if I force with the max values of the channel
0x15355575, // 16M prf power
0x07274767 // 64M prf power

will the result be better?
or if I use the values for channel 5
0x0E082848, // 16M prf power
0x25456585 // 64M prf power

what is the max value that I can put to have more power.
not to go further but to be less disturbed?

Thank you

The TX power register is described in DW1000 User Manual,

Hi Charles,
The operating range varies depending on the channel centre frequency and channel bandwidth selected – a lower centre frequency gets more range than a higher one, while the wider bandwidth channels channel 4 and channel 7 have more range than the standard 500 MHz bandwidth channels as the wider channel allows more energy to be sent at a given dBm / MHz regulatory limit. (See IC user manual chapter 9 “Operational design choices when employing the DW1000”

To increase / adjust the power is discussed in the IC user manual and APS023 part 1 chapter 4 ADJUSTING & CALIBRATING TRANSMIT POWER IN THE DW1000

Hi Charles,
You can’t increase the Tx power too much or you will violate the UWB regulatory limit (-41.3 dBm/MHz).
Can you describe the environment in which you’re seeing loss of reception of the transmitted signals? E.g. are you trying to penetrate thick walls?
