Effect of human body on range accuracy

Hi to all

I see on AN006 part 1 that in case of obstruction in direct path i have a distance over stated by a factor calculated with this formula:

Wx(R-1)

Where W is the width (i think in meter) of the obstruction and R is the refractive index.

My question is the result of this calculation is distance error or a kind of corrective factor?

In my case i have an human body (30 cm for example) between Transmitter and receiver so i have a result of

0,3x(7.14-1)=1,842

This results i think that is meters to sum to the real distance. Is it correct?

Can i compensate in some way this kind of error?

We want to develop an application that use dwm1000 to locate people in a room so i will always have some body between tag and anchor and this kind of error is a big problem.
