Where there is a need to synchronize wireless devices using a precise PPS Signal (like the one you get from e.g. a GNSS system/receiver), can QM33120 (or any of the DW3000 family) provide such a PPS signal on any of its pins, for example with a GPIO?
How accurate do you need the synchronisation to be?
For most applications within a few us is good enough synchronisation. In that situation you can connect the PPS to a processor input pin and use that to send the transmit start message to the DW device. Not perfect but simple and good enough for most applications.
If you need more accurate sync then GPIO 7 can be set as a SYNC input. I’ve not used it myself but I believe this works by resetting the internal time register used for timestamping transmit and receive times. So if you use the delayed transmit function and scheduled a transmit for a time of 0 then when the SYNC input goes active the timebase would reset to 0 and the transmit would start.
