DW1000 preamble lengths selection

Hi all,

I have been trying to implement my own protocol using the DW1000 IC. According to the table 54 from the DW1000 datasheet, for the 110 kbps Data rate, recommended preamble length is 2048 or 4096 so, does anybody know why, according to the TREK1000 user manual and EVK1000 user manual, for 110 kbps Data Rate 1024 preamble length is used?

1024 length is used to achieve shorter frames and thus a higher location rate. Although the 2048 will give longer range, for TREK demo 1024 and higher location rate was a good compromise.
