Crash on save and qspice file associations

Hello,

I am working with the model for an ADA4817. I got the simulation to run but it crashes when I try to save. Any advice?

Perhaps a related question; Should the “Library File” field for X1 be pointed to an actual file? It looks like when you copy and paste a .subckt file it puts all the pasted text in this field.

How does qspice know how to link the .qsym symbol to the .subckt file? Is is via the “1st attribute” field? Or is it embedded in the .qsym file?

Thanks

You can save your subckt as xxx.sub file in a directory (as text).
Then you fill in this path in “Library File” so Qspice can find it.

Yes, I thought that was the default. I was surprised to see the entire subcircuit text in the file path field. I like this feature thought, it makes model more portable (if less readable, since all the text is crammed into the itty bitty field).

yeah, extra feature besides the default!

Maybe someone will call Mike to explain the situation
