Hello
After doing the FFT of a signal, I can see the magnitude of the components on the window but not their phase. Is there any way to see the phase? I cannot find an option by doing right click on any point of the screen.
Then, if I export the data into a .csv file, suddenly a new window appears showing both magnitudes and phases. However, the exported .csv file only shows frequencies and magnitudes but not phases or real and imaginary parts of the components. This is very strange.
On the other hand, if I export the data into an ASCII file the window that appears shows only magnitudes (not phases) but the ASCII file seems to contain all the information: frequencies, imaginary and real parts.
I would suggest adding an option to show also the phase on the FFT window or show it by default.
Also, I have read in the help file that the .FOUR statement what actually performs is an FFT. This is somehow confusing. I would suggest adding a .FFT statement too, even though it is equivalent to .FOUR.
Thanks!
For an AC complex number plot, right-click on right axis > OK to display the phase plot. If you click on No Phase Plot, it will hide the phase. By default, the FFT window displays with the phase hidden.
But perhaps the best approach is to separate magnitude and phase by adding a window for each, one displaying the magnitude and the other displaying the phase.
By the way, you have option in Axis Setup to change from Polar to Cartesian Representation for real and imaginary number format.

Thank you very much for the quick answer. I failed to do right click on that part of the screen ![]()
I have seen that if you do right click on the left axis you can remove the magnitude so only the phase remains visible.
Thanks!
