I’m currently working with the DWM1001 module using the PANS firmware, and I noticed that in the module configuration, there is an option to select between TWR and TDoA as the location technique.
I would like to ask:
- Can we configure a tag to use TDoA (Time Difference of Arrival) for location calculation instead of TWR?
- If yes, what are the exact steps or configuration settings needed to enable TDoA mode for the tag?
- Does the tag itself calculate its position in TDoA mode, or does it rely on a central system (e.g., a location engine or gateway) to compute the position?
- Are there any firmware limitations or version requirements to support TDoA mode on tags?
Any guidance or example configuration would be really helpful.
