This seems to be a minor bug, in displaying the total number steps, in parametric sweeps, in very particular cases. Here’s a example:
It can get it right if more accurate step size:
This seems to be a minor bug, in displaying the total number steps, in parametric sweeps, in very particular cases. Here’s a example:
I guess this is this reason. To calculate number of step, we normally do this
steps = (max - min)/delta+1
.step param x 0 1 0.11 : steps = (1-0)/0.11+1 = 10.09 , round off is 10, round up is 11
.step param x 0 1 0.13 : steps = (1-0)/0.13+1 = 8.69, round off is 9, round up is 9.
possibly the total step is display with round off instead of round up.
Anyway, as always, bug is reported through email. Please consider to email to Mike, but may be wait until you see next Qspice update… possibly he is out as Qspice is not updated for 2 weeks now.
This bug seems fixed in today’s Qspice update
10/05/2026 Improved the estimated number of steps in the status report.
